Roosevelt Hornets

This website was created to describe news and important events for our school community. At Roosevelt Elementary School, the staff, parents and students promote the development of collaborative relationships in an effort to enhance the learning process. Roosevelt supports open communication between parents and teachers. Please feel free to contact the principal or any staff member to discuss and idea, problem, concern or challenge. One of our goals is for all parents to contribute in a significant way to the learning environment of the school community as active supporters and advocates.

 
Roosevelt families are welcome on campus any time. They are often volunteering in classrooms and at home, on field trips, in after-school programs, and at evening and weekend events. The students and the staff are fortunate to have the support of many parent organizations. These groups work continuously to support student learning. We have a welcoming environment and are exploring ways to increase the participation and membership from families who represent our diverse backgrounds and cultures.
When parents and teachers collaborate
on behalf of children, they create
windows of light for the generations
that follow.
